Picky
Eater
"I wanted to let you know how well my dog likes Flint
River Ranch small kibble food. When I decided to switch him, I mixed
it half and half with his regular dry food. The first time I put it down, he
sorted through his regular food and picked out all of the Flint River to eat
and left the rest behind. I was using a natural pet food, so I was rather surprised.
I guess he found that this stuff was better than his usual dog food, so I suppose
you could call him a "picky eater" for his own good. I finally gave up after
a week and tossed out the regular food because he refused to eat it! I guess
he knows a good quality food when he smells it!" Bandie's Mom
Wow, that was quick...48 hours for my first shipment.
My six dogs love the Flint River Ranch food. Two of them
left their raw chicken wings to eat the kibble first! It smelled
so good I even tried it. I've been working my way through "the
whole dog journal's" good food list. I think I'm about half way
and yours has been the most popular so far. I like getting the
food in smaller bags too. MPL
Allergies Better
"Since our dogs have been using the Flint
River Ranch pet food, our middle dog, Caesar, who
has all the allergies, hasn't been scratching or shaking his
head as much. My husband is convinced that, since the food
is healthier for him, it may be alleviating his allergies." Joanne
Hot Spots Improved
Murphy is doing so well on the new Flint
River Ranch food-it has been a life saver! I
was spending so much money on vet visits-sometimes we were having to go twice a week! Not to mention that he was completly miserable-he would get those hot spots so bad that he looked like he had the chicken pox....once he had them so bad, on his face and everything, that I literally had no place to pet him where I wouldn't scrape a sore. Since he has been on this new food, he hasn't had one breakout! It's amazing! Thank you so much for telling us about it! I misjudged last time we ordered it, and he ran out before the new bags arrived...I had a few days worth of his old food left, so I gave that to him...he just looked at his bowl, then looked at me with this "you've gotta be kidding me" expression....he didn't touch the old stuff! He finally gave in and ate it the next day because that was all I had to give him, but he would just take a few bites and glare at me from the kitchen! It was really funny-he's so spoiled now!! Update on Murphy
I just wanted you to know that the Flint River
Food has made such a difference for Murphy!
I hope you will let everybody know. I never
dreamed that something that simple could
make such a difference in his health. He
has been on the food about 15 months now.
He won't eat other food now either. Once
I ran out before my order came in, and I
tried some other food and he just kept looking
at me like, "I'm not eating that!" He
wouldn't touch it! The food is a little more
expensive than what you get in the store,
but the quality of it is SO MUCH BETTER!
Not to mention when I was having to take
him to the vet twice a week, the money I'm
saving now far exceeds the little extra I'm
paying for his food! It is just so worth
it. It was so hard to see him get those hot
spots, I knew he was miserable and there
wasn't anything I could do .... until I found
out about the food. I just wish I knew about
it sooner!
Lots of Energy - Magnificent Fur
"Chautauqua, the yellow Lab, and Seneca,
the black Lab, love their new Flint
River Ranch food. It has given
them loads of extra energy, their coats are
gorgeous, and they seem happier. Chautauqua
gained about 10 lbs but Seneca gained none
and they eat in separate rooms. So Chautauqua
is on a reduced amount. The cats did not like
their food initially, but are getting used
to the fact that they have to eat it with a
little something else added in. Their fur is
magnificent now." Cynthia - Silver

More Flexibility
Jubilee Wafers have done
a remendous job to quell the pain and discomfort
that Trevor has with his hipdysplasia. For
the past 6 months I have been religiously including Jubilee
Wafers in his diet. He now gets up
easier, no longer "chews" on
his hips and has more flexibility and locomotion
than he has had for some time. He still has
problems, but he's doing better. [FRR News

For Cats:
Proof is in the Pests!
It was reported to us that a new customer did not believe
a distributor's claim about how BHA, BHT, and Ethoxyquin were
used in the various industries as fertilizers, rubber stabilizers,
preservatives, and pesticides. While this new customer was
of the belief that we had a better product, she wasn't convinced
about the effects of these chemical preservatives. She decided
to do a little "unofficial" testing of her own. She
took a sample of her current brand of cat food, a common brand
that touts itself as being tasty, wholesome, and natural, but
with chemical preservatives. She placed the sample of this
brand and a sample of Flint
River Ranch Cat Food in shallow saucers next to
each other in the grass and walked away. She came back some
time later to find that ants had swarmed all over the Flint
River Ranch brand while none were at her ... now ... old brand.
She deduced that, given the amount of chemicals in her old
brand, they acted not only as a preservative but were sufficient
enough in strength to keep out the bugs. She is now a loyal Flint
River Ranch customer and has gone on to express her findings
to her friends also. [FRR News 5/01]
No Dry Fur Already!
"I am using more of the Flint
River Dry Cat Food mixed with what the dry cat food they are used
to. They are getting liquid organic flax seed oil too. You should see how beautiful
their fur coats are already. No more dryness. Thanks for wonderful products." Mary

Underweight and Fur Looking Bad
"I have five (5) inside cats and one (1) outside cat. Several of the cats are
getting to middle age and I was concerned about their health. One especially
is losing weight and his fur looks very bad. Decided to try Flint
River Cat and Kitten Formula. I put a crock of Flint River down and
a crock of their regular "natural" food (Nutro) which I have been very satisfied
with. It is too early to see immediate results (been about three weeks), but
I have filled the Flint River crock at least five times and the Nutro crock is
still half full. The cat that I was concerned about has quit licking his fur
and feels a little heavier. I just have a feeling that this is going to be just
what they need." Sandra Coope
No More Hairballs!
My personal experience with this food has been great! I no longer
am awakened in the middle of the night to the persistent, "hack,
hack, hack...ggerrkk" of my wife's cat. This hairball, hair-log
making machine has officially been defeated! We couldn't be happier.
We had tried many of the products available on the market to
rid our Black Himalayan of this problem, none of which has even
come close to the success of the Flint
River Ranch Hairball formula. No more sticky pastes,
stinky goops or messy tubes to contend with. Now, I just feed
her as normal and she gets assistance naturally ... to help expel
the excess hair that she's groomed off of herself. If you aren't
recommending the hairball management formula for its attributes,
you are missing out on some very happy and satisfied customers.
Kitten With Diarrhea
"I added a 3 month old kitten, Yogi, to our family and he had diarrhea from the
day I brought him home. We tried switching foods and all the waiting that goes
with every change, fecal exams at the Vet, and we still came up with nothing,
other than there were no digestive enzymes. We started enzyme therapy, no change
after two weeks and another fecal exam found nothing. We treated for Ghiardia
because Boo Boo, my other cat, seemed to have developed diarrhea too. No change.
I was so worried about this little kitten, I checked out no less than 13 books
from the library and read everything I could find online.
I decided to try a natural diet (home-cooked and natural dry cat
food) and a natural supplement. One and a half days after I began
serving Yogi Flint
River Ranch Dry Cat Food (the only dry food he would
eat) and serving him cooked chicken or beef, broth, veggies and
brown rice or barley meals he had his first normal stool. It's
now six (6) weeks later and we're still going strong. I don't know
that if I left out any one item things would change, but I feel
the combination is a well rounded, balanced and wholesome meal.
Both cats now eat only Flint River Ranch for their dry food.
Their coats are soft and shiny, Boo Boo is shedding only a fraction
of what he had been. Yogi is finally filling out and actually seems
to be satisfied when he has finished his plate of goodies (he had
an insatiable appetite before). They both run and play with endless
energy. Boo Boo even seems to have a calmer, more sociable and
affectionate attitude.
I have learned that many cats can have chronic diarrhea from commercial
foods due to an intolerance to the additives, preservatives or
fillers used. After all the frustration and anxiety of two months
of trying to get our little Yogi on track I hope you might be able
to share some of this story with others who are in similar situations." Debra
