No alcohol or chemicals - Alcohol is a very common ingredient in many of the popular pet stain and odor removers. Questions/Answers About Bacteria and Enzymes

Why bacteria?

Bacteria are known as “nature’s cleaners”. Without the presence of bacteria (and their associated enzymes) life would, quite literally, not exist as we know it. Bacteria are essential to the breakdown of human and animal waste. They are also essential to the health and well-being of all species, including humans. Over the course of the last few decades microbiologists have successfully isolated various strains of “beneficial” bacteria for use as cleaners and waste digesters in a number of different commercial and industrial applications. In many cases, it has been found that bacteria are the safest and most effective means for breaking down waste and removing unwanted constituents from a particular environment.

Are bacteria safe?

The bacteria used in our products are non-pathogenic, friendly Bacillus bacteria. These types of bacteria are cultivated from natural sources, therefore they are perfectly safe to use in any cleaning or maintenance situation.

Do bacteria and enzymes perform as well as some of the chemical-based products I use?

In almost all cases, a high quality bacterial-enzyme solution will outperform chemical-based cleaners for a given application, and it will do so safely. Many of the chemicals used in cleaners are toxic to some degree, and some of them are capable of causing serious injury or death when handled improperly.

I’ve used bacterial-enzyme products before and they didn’t work for me. Why is this?

Many products containing bacteria and/or enzymes do not perform well because they contain low concentrations of bacteria, or the bacteria are of inferior quality. Many companies tend to cut corners when formulating such products because it is expensive to package high quality bacteria and enzymes in a concentrated form that will work well for its intended use. We are in business because we firmly believe in what we are doing.

Directions:
Always shake vigorously before use. Do not apply disinfectants or sanitizers before or after use of PET FORCE.  Doing so will neutralize bacteria.

Small Areas
Before using, test for color fastness on a hidden area of carpeting.  Apply PET FORCE directly onto the stain or odor area, adding enough warm water to moisten area.  It can be mixed up to 8 parts water to 1 part concentrate. You can apply concentrate to an area and add water to it -- or you can mix it in a spray bottle to apply. Agitate area to speed up process.  Place damp paper towel or cloth over area.  Let set for 1-2 hrs.

Large Areas
Saturate problem area with PET FORCE and then add up to 8 times as much warm water.  Place a damp towel over area and let sit overnight. (Bacteria flourish when they have 3 things - an organic food source, water, and oxygen.  They will continue to attack the stain or odor as long as these 3 elements are present.  When one element vanishes, the bacteria will evaporate into the air.)

Laundry
Apply PET FORCE to spot on clothing, let soak overnight, then launder clothing as usual.

Blood Stains
Apply PET FORCE to area and add water.  Place damp towel on area, cover with a piece of plastic wrap, and put some weight on top.  Let sit overnight and stain should be gone by morning.  If only partially gone, repeat steps.

Carpet Steam Machines
Mix 2 oz. of PET FORCE per gallon of water or spray directly on carpet after cleaning.

Bad Odors and/or Old Stains
Mix 4 oz. of PET FORCE per gallon of water and apply with machine or by hand.

Skunk Odors
Mix PET FORCE at a 1 to 1 ratio and wash pet.  Works best when allowed to remain on pet for 30 minutes.  Rinse pet well. You don't want the microbial action to continue since a pet's skin has beneficial bacteria of its own.
