A recent study by the National Council on Pet Population Study and
Policy, published in the July issue of the Journal of Applied Animal
Welfare Science, lists the top 10 reasons why people relinquish cats to
shelters:

1. Moving
2. Landlord not allowing pet
3. Too many animals in household
4. Cost of pet maintenance
5. Owner having personal problems
6. Inadequate facilities
7. No homes available for litter mates
8. Allergies in family
9. House soiling
10. Incompatibility with other pets

This is a critical issue since there are simply too many cats and population
control is essential. Think about somebody you know who might benefit from

PUPPY PROOFING YOUR HOUSE FOR NEW BABY

When a new baby arrives, you baby-proof your home. You should be doing the
same for your new puppy or kitty. Some things to watch out for:

exposed electrical cords
cupboards without child-proof latches
toxic cleaning products
house plants (many are toxic)
chocolate (caffeine can damage your pet)
small child toys, coins, paper clips, small items
holes in the perimeter of your fenced yard for escape
garage spills
hanging tools likely to get knocked over

Bone/Skin Poultice
Bone Knitter

This formula has lots of uses, but the one that we know it best for is to
knit bones. It's been used for healing broken bones or sprains. The
formula is a great substitute for comfrey which can no longer be bought for
use internally. Bone/Skin Poultice combines yarrow flowers, mullein leaf, plantain herb
and Chinese rehmannia root to give additional benefits
not found in comfrey alone.
