** DONNA'S COMMENTS **
When you love pets, you begin to love all animals. At least that's how it
began with me.
Today is World Farm Animals Day. Thousands of animal-welfare advocates
across the United States will be asking candidates for national, state and
local offices to work for the humane treatment of animals raised for food.
Concerned citizens will be participating in candidate forums, holding vigils
and events at all 50 state capitals and raising funds for animal-friendly
candidates. For information on this event log on to http://www.farmusa.org.
Take a few minutes to learn more about how you can help to stop the pain of
farm animals. Visit the above site.....
and have a great week!

BIRDS - DO THEY KNOW WHAT THEY'RE SAYING?
Do pet birds know what they're saying when they speak? Consider this
example:
"My African grey, Sindbad, talked back to a video one night in a
particularly appropriate spot. As Peter O'Toole's character in the film
Creator prepared to exit the scene, she leaned out of her cage door,
stretched her neck as far as she could, and loudly said "Good-bye!"
as he
left. She had never done it before nor has she done it since."
