** A NOTE FROM DONNA **
It's warming up in many areas of the country and daytime temperatures are
getting high. Don't forget the heat warnings on leaving your pet in the
car. Even on a warm (not hot) day, temperatures rise to 120 degrees in a
matter of minutes due to the thermal warming ability of glass. That can be
deadly for your pet.
Don't take your pet with you shopping. It always takes longer than we think
inside a store. It doesn't take very long to cause serious problems for
your dog, especially if he's older and the heart is weaker.
At our retail store several years ago, a customer was asking questions while
her dog was waiting in the car. The neighboring Allstate agent had seen her
get out of the car leaving a dog inside with windows partially open. He
came in and mentioned his concern and I added my concern to it. She didn't
think a few minutes was worth such a fuss. She wasn't there very long,
especially since I scurried her on; however, her dog died that evening.
That's only one story. There are many and that's why animal welfare
organizations are so concerned about this topic.

CRIPPLED NO LONGER!
"Last year my Buddy (12-1/2 year Rotti-Retriever) was crippled and unable
to
walk for more than 5 minutes. After $850 in vet bills including acupuncture
(after his first session the pain left his eyes), chiropractic adjustments
(which probably did some good but didn't take care of the limp), 4 sets of
xrays, and 20 days on Rimadyl, I put him on 2400 mg. of Ester-C.
Within 7 days he was walking normally and within 10 days he was back to his
old Buddy self! He and my other two dogs are now on Ester-C and Glucosamine
Hydrochloride and, despite slowing down a bit because of their ages, they're
