** A NOTE FROM DONNA **
How often do you need some piece of information that you know you read in an
issue of Natural Pet News? Of course, you probably know that you can access
previous issues at the Yahoo site, but did you know that you can also find
them on our website with our EZINE SEARCH ENGINE? So, next time you can't
remember where to look for something you've read, visit our site and use the
search engine for ezines. It's an easy way to get what you need fast!
This week's issue contains another "partial" story of somebody using
the
HERBAL HEARTWORM PROGRAM successfully. This particular program is near to
my heart since a friend of mine used it with her dog. Since she's a special
friend, her dog has a piece of my heart also. I'm so glad he tested totally
clear of heartworms, and I'm so happy to hear updates on others using the
program. If you're on the program, we'd like to know so we can rejoice with
you also.
Have a great week!
Donna

ORAL DISEASE IN CATS AND DOGS
The author of this article, a veterinarian, states:
The sheer numbers passing through the practice, when extrapolated to the
world situation, tells me that oral disease is the source of the greatest
intractable pain and discomfort experienced by our companion animals.
This is a great and mindless cruelty we visit upon our animals from the
whelping box to the grave. Just imagine having a mouth ulcer or
toothache for a lifetime.

** SUCCESS STORY **
HALFWAY THROUGH HEARTWORM PROGRAM - LOOKING GOOD!
"Roy, my little rescue Beagle has been on the herbs for heartworms for
about
3 months now. I started him on this program about the first of May. I just
can't get over how his coat is so shiny and vibrant looking. It was very
dull and dirty looking all the time and now it's like he's just had a bath
all the time! His eyes are so much brighter, too. And the energy....I
can't believe he has SO much more than ever before. He was so sluggish and
just laid around. He actually had started to have seizures or some type of
"spells" and was falling out on the ground before the herbs. I plan
to have
him tested later and see what the vet says, but thought I'd go at least 6
months on the program. It wouldn't surprise me if the vet would say he
doesn't see any sign of it, but I do want to keep him on the herbs. He's
like a NEW DOG! " Dottie Lowe

**CAN YOU MAKE YOUR PET HEALTHIER?**
What we eat truly does make what our body is.
That applies to dogs and cats also. For the sake
of your pet, please learn more about what's in the
pet food YOU use. For most brands, it is not what
we would call food. Save on vet bills and heartaches.

** BEHAVIORAL/EMOTIONAL TIP **
SLEEPING CATS
Thanks to Rosa Brown for sending this in.
Cats spend a great deal of their time sleeping. The average
cat sleeps for 13-18 hours a day. The exact number can
change according to the cat's age and personality. Cats
that spend the day alone at home tend to sleep throughout
the day.
Being nocturnal predators, cats tend to sleep during the
day and keep awake during the night. However, you can
change your cat's main sleeping times. If you provide plenty
of stimuli during the day, in the form of cat toys or a
companion cat, the cat is more likely to keep awake during
the day and then spend the night sleeping. If you wish to
reduce your cat's nightly activities, you might try to spend
some time with her, playing some interactive games to tire
her out before bedtime.
Editor's Note:
It will help your sleep time also! We've done this after taking in
two feral cats. They had us awake during the entire first
week, so we decided it was time to retrain. It worked. We
just played with them and called them "Day Kitties." (You
know verbal affirmations are great! LOL)
