** A NOTE FROM RANDAL **
This issue is a little late because we took some time to go see a whale
watch over at Virginia Beach. The weather was too windy to go out on
Saturday and today it was too windy and foggy. However, we did get to see
some magnificent whale scenes at the IMAX theatre. Sure makes me glad that
we have laws to protect them now at least in some countries.
Can't imagine anyone wanting to deliberately hurt such a majestic creature!
This issue I am taking a little different approach. I am trying to find the
most currrent articles on how pets can use herbs and nutrition to improve
their health. Check out the article on diabetes in the success story
section.

MY DOG IS EATING OUR CAT'S FOOD! IS THERE A PROBLEM WITH THIS?
An occasional nibble from the cat bowl won't hurt your dog. However, it
isn't a good idea to start your pup on a bad habit. He will have problems if
he decides to shun his own food (properly formulated for a dog) for cat
food. Plus, dogs are very territorial about food bowls, and you could have
aggression problems down the road if your dog starts to view the cat bowl as
his.
It is always best to feed your pets in separate areas. Try to keep your dog
away from the kitty food by moving cat bowls to a place that is inaccessible
to your dog, such as on a table.
